OMV Petrom SA – "Construction of the photovoltaic park "Oprișenești Photovoltaic Park" including branches and connections"

OMV Petrom S.A., as Beneficiary, signed together with the Ministry of Energy, as coordinator of reforms and/or investments for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) Component C16, REPowerEU, the financing contract no. 319/08.05.2024 for the implementation of the project "Construction of the photovoltaic park "Oprișenești Photovoltaic Park" including branches and connections".

The objective of the project is to increase the level of use of renewable energy sources by installing a new solar electricity generation capacity of 2,025 MW in the NUTS 3 region - RO221.

The project is financed through NRRP, Investment Measure - Component C16, Investment I2. - Transfer C6, I1. – New electricity production capacities from renewable sources.

The investment that OMV Petrom S.A. has set out to make, by accessing the NRRP non-reimbursable funds, contributes to achieving the objectives assumed by Romania within NRRP, Component C16, Investment I2. - Transfer I1.-C6 PNRR, and amounts to a total value of RON 17,459,392.72 with VAT, of which RON 14,680,665.83 excluding VAT:

  • the total eligible value is RON 10,724,928.05 excluding VAT, of which the maximum eligible non-refundable value (state aid value requested) is RON 2,521,125, excluding VAT.
  • the ineligible value of the expenses that are covered by the beneficiary's own contribution is RON 3,955,737.78 excluding VAT.

The financing contract was signed on 08.05.2024. The implementation period of the Project, according to the financing contract, is from the date of submission of the Financing Offer, namely 22.06.2022, until 30.09.2025. The project is implemented by OMV Petrom S.A. in the NUTS 3 region – RO221, Brăila county, Oprișenești locality, Brăilei street, nr. 106, Project Code 372 - Call Code PNRR/2022/C6/M Energy/I1 and supports the transition to a climate-neutral economy and contributes to the EU's decarbonization objectives for the years 2030 and 2050.
