Petrom Group opens two new filling stations in Romania

  • The first filling stations built on the Sun Highway
  • The two filling stations will operate under Petrom brand
  • The investments for the construction of the two filling stations amounted to EUR 2.6 mn
  • On the Sun Highway four filling stations will function under Petrom brand and two filling stations under OMV brand

Petrom Group opens the first filling stations on the Sun Highway and will build another four filling stations by the end of the year. Out of the total of six filling stations, two will function under the OMV brand and four under the Petrom brand.

Following the tender organized by the National Roads and Highways Company (CNADR), Petrom S.A, and OMV Romania Mineraloel SRL won the right to construct a total of six filling stations on the Sun Highway.
The two Petrom filling stations opened offer both fuel supply services and complementary services that include shops and restaurants. The stations were constructed in record time of 15 weeks (also the mobile stations) from the moment the authorizations were obtained and the investment amounted to EUR 2.6 mn.

The construction of the other four filling stations will be finalized in around 6 months from the moment the construction authorizations are obtained.

At the present time, besides the two Petrom filling stations, two OMV mobile stations and two Petrom mobile stations are operating on the Sun Highway.

Currently, Petrom Group operates 826 Petrom and OMV filling stations, out of which 557 in Romania and 269 abroad: 113 in the Republic of Moldova, 97in Bulgaria and 59 in Serbia.
