foodpanda delivers VIVA products from OMV filling stations
- Partnership currently covering 47 OMV filling stations in 10 cities
- Over 130 products of VIVA Shop & Gastro can be ordered online via foodpanda
OMV Petrom, the largest energy company in Southeastern Europe, and foodpanda, the largest food-ordering online platform in Romania, entered a partnership through which VIVA products from OMV filling stations can be ordered through the foodpanda delivery service.
Currently, the service is available in 10 cities: Cluj, Iasi, Timisoara, Brasov, Constanta, Bucuresti, Targu-Mures, Ploiesti, Galati and Sibiu. Over 130 products from the shop and the gastro area, from sandwiches and salads, pastry, sweets and snacks to beverages and even electronic accessories, are available for quick delivery.
The customers can order VIVA Shop & Gastro products in the foodpanda app, Shops section, and the orders are sent to the selected OMV station. The orders are processed in OMV stations and handed over to foodpanda couriers in the shortest time. The minimum order value is 14.99 RON and the delivery fee starts from 1.99 RON and varies depending on the distance.
George Daniel Ion, retail manager OMV Petrom: “The partnership started in June this year, as part of a pilot project that targeted five OMV filling stations in Cluj. It has been very well received, with products deliveries that were made within a 30 minute timeframe. We wanted to bring the coffee and sandwich break from Viva to the office or at home, with the same quality products, in a short amount of time. We are now adding more filling stations to the project and we are launching the commitment to online deliveries of VIVA Shop & Gastro in nine more cities”.
“Foodpanda is diversifying its proximity trade offer by expanding the partnership with OMV Petrom. Thus, users in ten cities can now order the popular snacks from the VIVA menu, and at the same time, they can choose from multiple categories of products, ranging from personal care or beverages to electronics or barbecue items, available for quick delivery, in an extended time frame, until 10pm or even 12am in some cities. Based on the results recorded in the pilot phase, from the beginning of summer in Cluj, we wish to offer our customers from other nine big cities more alternative products for fast delivery.", said Andreea Petrișor, Managing Director foodpanda Romania.
