OMV Petrom Excellence Scholarship

We support performance at all levels! Through the OMV Petrom Excellence Scholarship program, now in its 6th edition, over 50 students passionate about the energy industry receive scholarships for exceptional academic results and have the opportunity to develop under the guidance of a mentor from our organization!

What does the OMV Petrom Excellence Scholarship entail?

The scholarship and mentoring program is dedicated to young people who want to deepen their field of study under the guidance of professionals from OMV Petrom and discover what their career could look like in one of the Exploration & Production, Refining & Marketing, or Gas & Energy divisions.

The program involves a complex approach, aimed to support the personal and professional development of participants. The expertise and knowledge shared by mentors will help young people take their first steps in their professional careers and apply the theoretical knowledge gained so far by completing a project on a topic of common interest. To reward their performance, participants will also receive a monthly scholarship throughout the academic year.

Additionally, the learning experience is diversified through field visits, personal development courses, networking events with specialists and program graduates, as well as other initiatives designed to help scholars reach their maximum potential.

Benefits:

• A monthly scholarship during the academic year:
  1. 200 euros for the 2nd year
  2. 300 euros for the 3rd year
  3. 400 euros for the 4th year
• A mentor from OMV Petrom who will guide you and share their experience, giving you the opportunity to meet specialists in the field
• Participation in training sessions and networking events
• Up-to-date information about the energy field and an insider’s perspective, so you can imagine what your career might look like
• The possibility of being involved in other programs and initiatives within the company

The eligibility criteria:

• You have passed all exams and obtained a minimum general average of 7.5 in the last academic year
• You are a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th-year student (targeted specializations will be specified for each edition)
• You have intermediate/advanced knowledge of English
• You attend full-time courses
• You are curious to discover our organization and evolve personally and professionally

You can continue the OMV Petrom Excellence Scholarship program until the end of your studies! All you need to do is:

• Pass all exams and maintain a minimum general average of 7.5
• Remain a full-time student
• Receive a good evaluation from your OMV Petrom mentor
